We are a software company and are distributing our iSeries products
via CD-ROM. We are using a PC-based software to cut the CD's because
(as of a while ago) there was no way to do a backup directly to a CD
on the iSeries.

Does anybody know if this has changed? Has IBM (or anybody) created a
device that is capable of doing a bckup directly to a CD?

Thanks in advance.

Not properly a CD media, new DVD-RAM devices can write a single-sided 4.7GB DVD,
or a dual-sided one manually flipping it, but can only read a CD-ROM.
