sndemail vs snddst

I have been configuring our AS400 to use snddst and for the most part
it is working correctly (thanks to this forum and Steve Way's website).
I have been reading quite a bit on this forum about a SNDEMAIL program
that uses some API, and that it is more robust than snddst. What we
are using snddst for now is to simply email a file generated to a
customer as an attachment. I'd like to give this SNDEMAIL program a
try so I could see the differences in how they work, especially if it
is more robust and we could possibly use it for other things in the
future. I go to the website that supposedly has it, but I do not have
the proper membership access level to get it. If anyone knows where
else I may find it, or of another free mail utility that is nice,
please help me out.

Thanks for your help

Is that the one that comes with CGIDEV2? Not sure.. Try a google
search, you probably will find it.

I also have a utility called MAILTOOL that is FAR more robust than
SNDDST. It's priced low and it is supported.

You can find it and download a free trial at www.bvstools.com/mailtool.html.

Greg,

Feel free to give "iSeries MIME & Mail" a shot. It works just fine for us.

try: iSeries MIME & Mail
Check your machine for library MMAIL.
Consultants often install it and forget to tell anyone.

or download latest version for free.

Very stable & strong user support fom the same people that brought you
CGIDEV2/CGICBLDEV2 and other tools.

What do you think is better, SNDEMAIL or MMAIL, and why?

If you just want something that is simple and easy to understand the
SNDM tool of http://homepage1.nifty.com/uzaemon/ is very hard to
beat. It's freeware and it supports attachments too.
We have been using it for years now.
